JACKIE CHAN IS STILL ALIVE. Five Proofs

A story has been going around on blogs and social media that veteran Hollywood/Chinese actor and humanitarian, Jackie Chan has died. According to the story, the actor "passed away after suffering a heart attack". The story did not give a specific date of the death. It was first said to have been announced by
NBC sometime in May 2015. However, because all the blogs that published and are still publishing the false story may have stumbled upon the same story which gave no date for the " death of Chan " they have all been saying "Jackie Chan passed away this morning"... Many of them have gotten some traffic to their blogs with the story. Who doesn't like traffic (lol).
The story is entirely false and a hoax. It's not the first time we have heard of such thing anyway. The story of "Jackie's death" went into the internet May, 2015. So those who are posting it as "breaking news" in June, 2015 are not just posting false NEWS, they are posting outdated false NEWS.
Below are 5 proofs that Jackie Chan is alive.

1: Jackie Chan took to his Facebook page on 16th May, 2015 to tell his fans that he is still alive and healthy. He said he was shocked by the rumor of his death.

2: Jackie was at the Shanghai film festival on June 13, 2015. That's him pictured above at the red carpet with his signature lavish smile.

3: Wikipedia: We all know that wikipedia is really good source of information about almost everything including the biographies of Celebrities and regularly update their database. If Jackie Chan had died, they would have since updated his biography on Wikipedia but as you can see above, even as at today 15th June, 2015, Wikipedia still address him in present continuous tense.

4: Jackie Chan posted this photo of himself at Nepal doing some humanitarian work on June 10th, 2015. He could not have done that while in the morgue.



5: While the rumor of his death was circulating, Jackie Chan posted this selfie on his Facebook pagepage last Friday, 12th June, 2015.

Bottom line: As at June, 2015, Jackie Chan is alive, healthy and probably more active than those who started the rumour that he is dead. His next movie is also by the corner. We wish him many years ahead. I'm trying to fix an interview with the actor to get his statement about the rumour.

Note to bloggers: Please always go extra miles to confirm stories before posting, don't just rush to post so that you can get traffic. Such traffic is short lived. Once your readers find out you post false stuff, they will loose the trust in you and you will loose them.
